Landscape Forms has relaunched SHUFFLE, a multifunction pole system that combines Wi-Fi, cameras, sensors, two-way communications, electric-vehicle charging and lighting in a single vertical structure. The company said the update responds to rising customer expectations, as public spaces keep adding single-purpose pole-mounted sensors, cameras, lighting and connectivity hardware to sites where space is at a premium.

According to Landscape Forms, municipalities, campuses and commercial developers are looking for ways to expand site functionality without adding visual clutter or extra cost, and demand for thoughtfully designed, fully integrated infrastructure has grown as a result. SHUFFLE is presented as a way to consolidate those capabilities into one adaptable system that is easy to activate and install.

Modular components and a new configurator

The system is assembled from modular components that the company says allow for easy customization and future adaptability, while the integrated design is intended to bring modern aesthetics and efficiencies to busy, multi-use environments. Landscape Forms has also simplified specification through a new build feature on its website, where clients can name preferred camera and technology brands and choose among a range of options within each.

Lighting, camera and communication modules

The relaunch adds plug-and-play feature options designed for simple deployment, including:

  • A 360-degree area light and a separate 180-degree area light
  • A decorative light ring
  • Quad-view and 180-degree cameras
  • Motion sensors
  • Loudspeaker and intercom modules

These options sit alongside the Wi-Fi, sensor, two-way communication and EV-charging capabilities that form the core of the platform, letting a single pole carry functions that would otherwise require separate fixtures and devices.

Target sites and company positioning

Landscape Forms said the modular design can be configured for specialized environments as well as general public spaces, providing an added measure of security and convenience wherever people gather for work, travel, study and recreation. Named applications include university and business campuses, airports and commuting hubs, shopping malls and tourist areas, concert halls, city parks, sports venues and hospitals.

"This is the solution site designers have been waiting for," said Shannon Lee, Business Development Manager for Smart Poles at Schréder, adding that SHUFFLE was designed to fit any busy public space with product and feature sets that can be updated as site needs evolve. Lee said safety and connectivity are integrated into outdoor spaces without dominating them, which she said helps make the system accessible and user friendly.

Jordan Agustin, President of Lighting at Landscape Forms, framed the relaunch as technology and design working together to make outdoor spaces safer and smarter without compromising aesthetics. He said the new features enhance the beauty and functionality of outdoor space while advancing the company's mission of connecting people to the outdoors and to each other.
