Aggreko has introduced three Tier 4 Final diesel generators built for remote work sites in Canada, offered in 145 kW, 210 kW and 1200 kW capacities at 600V. The units will be available exclusively to Canadian contractors, and the company says the models are engineered to meet and exceed local market needs and requirements. Aggreko says the units are intended for remote sites where temporary power has to be brought in.
All three generators are CSA and UN31A compliant, which Aggreko says addresses Canadian electrical and fuel regulations. The company describes the units as combining its latest generator technology — reliable, low-emissions power for commercial and industrial applications — with hardware configured for the market and regulatory conditions Canadian contractors work under.
Onboard 600V output on the largest unit
The 1200 kW model carries onboard 600V capability, removing the need for additional step-up transformers. Aggreko says that direct 600V output significantly reduces project complexity, improves cost-efficiency and minimises potential points of failure, an advantage it links to large industrial loads where 600V is frequently required.
Canopy units and fleet coverage
The 145 kW and 210 kW models are canopy units that Aggreko describes as readily deployed for immediate energy needs, while the 1200 kW unit is positioned for large industrial loads. The three additions extend a Canadian fleet that the company says ranges from 25 kW to 1200 kW.
"Tailoring our most advanced generators for our Canadian customers underscores the importance of this market for Aggreko," said Paul Nascimento, managing director for Canada at Aggreko. He pointed to large petrochemical and mining industries that need power across vast and remote territories, alongside thriving construction and data centre sectors, as the basis for what he called a clear demand for engineered energy solutions that are both powerful and precisely configured.
Aggreko's network of Canadian service centres supports customers in data centres, construction, oil and gas, mining and events in deploying temporary power for a range of applications. The company says all three Tier 4 Final generators provide fuel efficiency, ultra-low emissions and significantly controlled noise levels that surpass local requirements.
Positioned for data centre load
The models are also aimed at Canada's expanding data centre industry. As provincial regulators look to limit how much power data centre operators pull from the grid, Aggreko presents its Tier 4 Final units as off-grid energy that keeps facilities operational in a manner that is minimally disruptive to communities.
The announcement sets out capacities, certification and the largest unit's 600V output; fuel consumption figures, pricing, availability dates and named customers were not disclosed. The three models join a range that Aggreko already covers from 25 kW to 1200 kW for temporary power in Canada.
